Sisu is a soft, durable utility yarn that is reinforced with nylon. It is therefore well suited for socks, but because it is so soft it has become a favorite for utility garments under parkas and jackets. It has also been a cardigan favorite since the early 1980s as the structure of the yarn makes the cardigan pattern stand out well. Garments knitted in Sisu have a long life and can be just as beautiful for several generations.
The yarn is superwash treated so that it can withstand frequent machine washing.

If you are washing in a machine, we recommend that all wool garments are washed separately on a wool program for the most gentle treatment. Spin well and dry the garment flat, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to pill.
