Super soft mohair yarn with loops.
Can be knitted on large needles.
Loop length approx. 170 m per 100 g yarn.

The ideal yarn for large and wobbly sweaters and shawls, hats, mitts etc. or as main yarn in knitwear with other types of yarn. Solid and hand-colored (multicolored).

This soft yarn is suitable for knitting without a pattern, as the structure of the yarn itself produces pattern effect. The yarn is often chosen by newcomers to knitting, as irregular knitting is not seen so clearly at the finished work. Several things such as hats, scarves, neck warmers and mitts can be knitted from just one bundle. The Bouclé yarn is also suitable for wobbly sweaters or cardigans. Ideas can be downloaded here.

Mohair Bouclé is a natural product from South African Angora herds. Bouclé yarn is characterised by the many small loops in the yarn. It is made from a slightly coarser fibre than Kidmohair, but is very soft and high quality.

Bouclé yarn is recommended for clothing that is not exposed to constant and continuous wear, e.g. when you dress up or need to provide comfort on a cool summer night.

Mohair Bouclé is found in a wide range of colors, both plain and in the colorful and popular mix-types that are dyed by hand. The yarn consists of 78% mohair, 13% merino and 9% nylon.

Facts about hand-dyed yarn.

All our multi-coloured yarns are hand-dyed. This implies that there will always be a risk of variation from skein to skein, even if it is the same dye lot or batch number.

Our hand-dyed bouclé yarns are dyed using two different methods.

  1. The colors are applied to the yarn with sponges
Only a few skeins are dyed at a time, which is the reason for possible deviations. We have a batch number on these, which is not a guarantee that the colors are 100% evenly distributed.
  2. Dyeing by dipping the yarn in containers with dyes
These yarns have the designation LE after the color number. Only 5 kg are dyed at a time. Yarns dipped in the same round do not have large variations. We do not have dye lot numbers for these yarns. When ordering we make sure the LE dyed yarn comes from the same cauldron. When reordering, it cannot be guaranteed that it is from the same cauldron as before.
