Mashdale is a rustic-looking but deliciously soft wool yarn spun from 25 per cent Masham wool and 75 per cent Corriedale wool. Masham sheep can be brown, while Corriedale sheep are white. By leaving the brown Masham wool undyed and colouring only the Corriedale wool, the yarn develops a wonderfully nuanced play of colours.
